Oh, so THESE are what I've been looking at for the last 4 days!

I bet this trailer would look cool behind a G/G Nomad..... :)

I saw a large herd of deer on the side of the road but didn't notice the fence til I got to the 'Deer Ranch' sign....

This was a new one to me...a deer ranch.

The sun finally broke through when I got into Vermont, so down went the top!

I spent quite a bit of time here at the Willie House. After the tour bus left, it was almost deserted. My kind of place.
This was the Alpha Mallard. He told me so.

It also helps to have duck food in your hands.

Did you know that I have an unusual ability to beckon ducks to me? Some people call me the *Duck Whisperer*.

If you can't (or don't want to) read the whole thing, here's the Cliffs notes: In 1826, a family of 5 and 2 hired men were the only people living in a small group of buildings in Crawford Notch, Maine (a valley between 2 mountains). One night a violent storm flooded the gorge, and (apparently) they all tried to escape to a shelter Mr. Willey had built. Once the landslide was over, friends and family found only the empty, unharmed house sitting amongst total carnage. Most of the bodies were found buried later, a ways from the house. They should've stayed home.
